Auction House and trades
Selling beasts, eggs and items to other players, the 2% fee, and trading face to face.
The Auction House, /ah, lists items for any player to buy. A direct trade, /trade <player>, swaps items between two players who are online.
What you can list
- Beasts in your Reserve. A beast working in a habitat, a locked beast, a Legendary and your island's last copy of its starter species can't be listed.
- Eggs that are still waiting. An incubating egg or a Legendary egg can't be listed.
- Any amount of Lineage Charms, fish, bait, rods, lures, spoils and offerings.
Islemarks, Keystone Fragments, family materials, blocks and cosmetics can't be listed. Materials belong to the island that made them.
Listing and buying
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Fee | 2% of the price, rounded down, at least 1 Islemark, taken from your earnings when the lot sells |
| Listing, taking down or expiring | Free |
| Lowest price | 10 Islemarks |
| Length | 24 hours, or up to 7 days |
| Listings at once | 20 per island |
A listed item leaves your storage and comes back if the lot expires or you take it down. The buyer pays exactly the listed price. Your island can't buy its own lots, or lots from an island that shares a member with it.
Direct trades
Each side can offer items from the same list as the Auction House, plus Islemarks. Any change to an offer makes both players confirm again.
- Trades are free.
- An invitation and an open trade last 120 seconds.
- Your island can have 4 trades and invitations open at once.
- You can't trade with someone on your own island, or with an island that shares a member with yours.
In a co-op
Listing, buying and trading need the permission to trade island items, which only the Owner has by default; the Trader preset gives it. A purchase of 100 Islemarks or more also needs the permission to make big purchases. See Co-op roles.
