Shops

The block shop and the cosmetics shop: what they sell, for what, and when each part opens.

The block shop sells building blocks, and the cosmetics shop sells trails and habitat themes. Both take payment from your island.

The block shop

/shop sells ordinary Minecraft blocks in bundles of 16 or 64, paid with your island's Islemarks. They go straight into your inventory and can't be sold back.

Each family you unlock opens a new tier. Every block sits in the first tier that could craft or smelt it, so the Meadow tier already has stone, glass, terracotta, sandstone, mud, birch and wool.

MeadowThe start924 Islemarks per 16, 16 per 64
EmberThe Ember unlock604 per 16; redstone parts 16 per 16
TideThe Tide unlock814 per 16

CanopyThe Canopy unlock1624 per 16; rails and redstone parts 16 per 16

Luxury blocks

Each family has a luxury page of blocks nobody can craft, smelt or grow with bone meal, 51 in all. They cost 63 of the family's material and 63 Islemarks per 16. A family's luxury page opens when your island buys any of that family's habitat themes, or when it reaches that family's mastery.

Keystone blocks

From the Canopy unlock, the Keystone page sells obsidian, lodestone, the heavy core, dragon heads and sculk blocks for 10 Keystone Fragments per 16.

Free blocks

Every finished training or care round has a 1 in 4 chance to drop 8 blocks from that beast's family tier into your inventory. A full inventory loses the drop.

The cosmetics shop

/shop cosmetics sells looks you keep for good and share with everyone on your island; you wear them from /cosmetics, and what you wear is your own choice. They change nothing about how a beast or habitat works, and they can't be traded.

Companion trails

A trail follows your companion as it walks with you.

Five more trails, the Lantern, Magma, Riptide, Crystal and Thorn trails, can't be bought. Each trial line can drop its own from tier III up; see Trials.

Habitat themes

Each family has three themes that restyle its habitat, bought in order:

  • First theme. 5,000 Islemarks. Needs the family.
  • Second theme. 12,000 Islemarks.
  • Top theme. 60 Keystone Fragments and 5,000 of the family's material. Needs the family's second mastery: all three of its species with a trait recorded at 9.

Switching between themes you own is free.

Titles

Titles are never sold. You earn them from mastery, trials, fishing, skills, commissions and the Lost Pages, and the one you wear shows beside your name in the player list.

In a co-op

A Member can buy building blocks for up to 100 Islemarks a day. Trails and themes cost more than a Manager's daily allowance, so in practice only the Owner buys them. See Co-op spending.
