Join the server
How to join Beastbound on Java or Bedrock and get to your island.
Beastbound is a Minecraft server where you raise beasts on your own island in the sky. Java and Bedrock players play together on the same server.
Java Edition
Add the server play.beastbound.net. It runs Minecraft 1.21.11; newer Java versions can join too, older ones can't. The Beastbound resource pack, about 40 MB, adds the beast models, menu art, the HUD and sounds. It is optional, and everything still reads without it.
Bedrock Edition
Add the server play.beastbound.net with port 19132. You don't need a Java account, and Bedrock downloads its own pack when you join. Menus open as forms; Java and Bedrock lists the other differences.
Getting to your island
Everyone arrives at the hub first and picks Isles to play. On your first visit you create your island from the Haven, and Bumbrel, your first beast, meets you on it. From then on the sidebar shows your next step; Your first steps has the overview.
Next time you join, you go straight on to your island. /island takes you home, /haven to the Haven, /hub back to the hub, and /menu opens the main menu.
Rules in short
You never lose items or experience when you die, anywhere. There is no hunger. Islands have no monsters, fire spread or explosions, and nobody can fight there. Island rules has the details.
