Habitats
Where your beasts live and work: slots, which copy works, room on your island, and themes.
A habitat is the home and workplace of one family's beasts. Your island can hold one habitat of each family, five at most. The Meadow habitat comes with your island; the others come with their family unlocks. /habitat lists them and gives you the tool that places or moves each one.
Slots
Each habitat has three normal slots, one for each species of its family, and one Legendary slot. So a habitat holds one working copy of each of its three species. Only beasts working in a habitat produce; the rest wait in your Reserve.
A newly hatched beast moves into its habitat by itself when no copy of its species is working there.
Room on your island
A habitat takes 10 by 10 blocks inside your island's border, clear of the arrival point and of other habitats. A new island's build area is 41 by 41 blocks. The first island border, which the Ember unlock requires, makes room for more habitats; see Island upgrades.
Moving a habitat takes its beasts along. Picking one up keeps its beasts and stored materials but pauses its production until you place it again. If the placing tool is awkward, /habitat place <type> builds the habitat at your feet.
Themes
A theme restyles one habitat's build and changes nothing else. Each family has three, bought in order in the cosmetics shop, and the store sells more looks. Switching between themes you own is free.
